9:15AM Choir

The 9:15 Choir participates in the "middle" meeting on Sunday mornings at NRHBC.  We use written music to learn songs; but we are committed to being lead worshipers who sing from memory and from the heart. Our goal as lead worshipers is to use scripture and music to magnify our Lord. We prepare our hearts through God-focused, responsive worship. For us, it's not about, "what a great song, or great service," but what a great God! Anyone who is interested in being a member of the 9:15 Choir is invited to join us any Wednesday evening to start the process. Every prospective member is asked to attend 3 rehearsals before they are added to the membership. This gives time for the individual to get to know choir members, procedures and music. Members are given quarterly CDs of music we are in the process of learning. We review congregational songs on a weekly basis. There is a seasonal emphasis at Christmas, Easter, and around July 4th.

"A faithful Worship Leader magnifies the greatness of God in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, by skillfully combining God's Word with music; therefore motivating the gathered church to cherish God's presence and live for His glory." - Bob Kauflin

The Role of a Worship Leader
  • To lead people into God's presence
  • To provide a safe place where each one can encounter God
  • To provide an opportunity to have a spiritually moving experience
